We celebrate Assassiversary

The second night of the fourth quarter was a back-and-forth affair. After the departure of Peel-Out at shortly after 7:30, the remaining quartet played more than an hour before anyone else walked the poker walk of shame.

And when it happened, it happened with a bang. As the Silent Assassin, who had survived a massive chip loss earlier in the evening, looked on, Magic Man went all in, which produced a call from chip leader Competitor and another call from short-stack Hoot. The Competitor held on and knocked out the others (Magic got third by virtue of more chips going into the deciding hand).

In a heads-up battle between the top two players for 2010, the Competitor needed just two hands to dust the Assassin to grab the dough and the all-important seven points.

At 7:30, we took a short break to celebrate the third anniversary of Silent and Dr. Assassin with cheesecake and champagne. Congratulations, Assassins!!!
